Educational Opportunities with the Military
For the most part, every type of work that exists in civilian life also exists in the Military. Of the 16 different career fields into which military jobs fall, most contain both enlisted and officer positions, and are available across several military Service branches. Most enlisted military roles - about 85 percent - do not involve combat. Instead, these roles support the fighting forces, aid in disaster relief, provide medical care and more. The best way to get started with the military is to talk to a recruiter for the branch you are interested.
